The Moss Brewery residency took the shape of a personal residency and involved several dialogues with an 1880 brewery warehouse, focusing on investigating the site’s personality. Collaborating between sound, video, and place through a resolved experiment in fermenting collected Moss to adapt a language between the body/structure and the grown elements (Bryophyta Moss) of the site. The thought is to orient a continuing non-human cycle of dialogues within the site’s body and element. The Moss Brewery Residency was established at Kanteena in Lancaster. Aiming to observe, and contact the site in a Posthuman notion, with more empathy. The location is a deserted old brewery situated behind Kanteena.
